Intergeo 2021 experience

Intergeo 2021 Hybrid in Hannover has come to an end after three days of live and digital interaction. The atmosphere was buzzing with joy for the chance to interact face to face with customers and partners. For us this was the first event in almost two years.

Our stand design was completely redesigned by Wulff Entre and was well received by the crowd.

“This years Intergeo has excelled our expectations in many ways. First of all, it was a great opportunity to meet our customers face to face again after such a long time of digital meetings. We also acknowledged the huge interest in a digital infrastructure construction and digitization workflow that is helping the customers towards a sustainable and more efficient construction process. Our decision to bring product management and BIM field experts to this Intergeo has been very well received by the professional visitors and might be something to extend to other exhibitions as well.”

Our Services team’s live demos were a success at the event.

Day two of the expo started off with lively conversation with customers and partners.

Mikko Siivola our BIM Specialist and Customer Success Lead was at Intergeo for the first time with Infrakit. “I enjoyed meeting customers and partners live. The last time was a while ago. The atmosphere was great, and our stand was visited by professionals from several different infrastructure areas. It was great to see that we could have some input for all of them and for them to see the benefits Infrakit can provide them in their work.

The Sales – Services co-operation at the fair was also excellent. I did expect a bigger turnaround but the bright side to this is that there were fewer tourists and more relevant people at the event.

Overall, I’m left feeling quite positive about the experience. I was surprised by how many machine and software providers want to co-operate with us. I look forward to seeing how many of these come to fruition. Plus, we had a nice stand.”

Mikael Nenonen börjar vid Infrakit som storkundsansvarig

Hej på er! Jag heter Mikael och har nyligen tillträtt en tjänst vid Infrakit som storkundsansvarig. Jag kommer att representera vårt säljteam här i Finland. Ett av mina framtidsmål är att hjälpa våra befintliga och nya kunder att öka sin produktivitet inom infrastrukturprojekt.

De senaste fem åren har jag representerat Trimble och Leica och sålt deras 3D-maskinstyrsystem och utrustning och programvara för lantmäteri. Vid infrakit var den drivande tanken att förbättra kundens effektivitet på plats. Under denna tid fick jag mer insikt i digitalt byggande och den hjälpte mig att se och förstå framtiden för uppbyggnad av infrastruktur. Jag anser att Infrakit kommer att spela en viktig roll när det gäller global digitalisering av infrastrukturprojekt. Utöver min yrkeserfarenhet tog jag sommaren 2020 en masterexamen i företagsadministration vid Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

Jag har även en kandidatexamen i lantmäteri, och jag har arbetat som lantmätare i flera år inom olika infrastruktur- och byggprojekt. Under de två sista åren av min lantmätarkarriär började branschen att gå i riktning mot digitalisering. Utöver vanligt lantmäteri arbetade jag med laserskanning, UAV-fotogrammetri, 3D-modellering och med att underhålla data för olika byggarbetsplatser. När det gäller digitalisering har utvecklingen gått snabbt framåt, men det återstår fortfarande mycket arbete.

Jag har bott i Vanda i hela mitt liv, men jag har även rest över hela världen. Du kan ibland hitta mig på en golfbana, i gymmet, när jag åker skidor nedför ett berg eller ligger till sjöss med min båt. Vi ses på byggplatsen!

Efficient asset maintenance

On case E16 Eggemoen – Olum BIM coordinator Mohammed Ziani says they have four workspaces consisting of two main projects, a side road and an action road. He states that Infrakit has made the interaction between these spaces easier.

“Infrakit makes that connection easier. There are some basic data that belong together in all the workspaces, so I get a simple overview of them. If there is information that must be sent to the intervention road, then it is practical to retrieve files and transfer them to the space that we share with the contractor. “

Morten Westergård joined Infrakit from Atkins Norway on August 1st to help Norwegian entrepreneurs with digitalization.

Our customers will become stronger with Morten Westergård on the team. Builders and all national contractors use technology provided by Infrakit. With a talent like Morten Westergård on our team, it will be easier for our customers to succeed with digitalization and BIM, says general manager of Infrakit, Anders Tiltnes.

Morten Westergård will be responsible for the services department of Infrakit in Norway, a department that helps builders and contractors with model-based planning and construction of infrastructure projects.

I look forward to helping Norwegian builders succeed with model-based planning and construction. The methodology is interesting because it is both economically and socio-economically profitable, says Morten Westergård.

Model-based planning and construction is a methodology that contributes to sustainable construction projects for personnel, projects and society. BIM is also a requirement from all the major builders in Norway.
